Kindle DX Good Device with Some Limitations

Overall, I’m quite happy with my Kindle DX. Very good for reading technical documentation and work related stuff thanks to the big screen and the search facilities. The reading experience in general is excellent, my sight doesn’t get as much tired as when I’m reading off a computer screen.

A few complaints, though:
* The support for pdf documents could be much better (zoom, for example). I would expect this to be fixed by future firmware upgrades. This is an important issue for technical documentation, which is many times available only in pdf.
* Periodicals for international customers: Amazon please reach better agreements with international phone carriers; reading periodicals and magazines stripped out of photos is not precisely a good reading experience. I personally won’t pay for a periodical subscription until this issue is solved.
* Titles in other languages: the selection of titles in English is impressive but I’d love to be able to buy titles in Spanish.
* Last but not least: open the Kindle to other formats. Being able to load books in other formats doesn’t preclude me from buying titles at the Amazon shop, and that would provide a better value for my Kindle DX (which is not precisely a cheap device!).
